This is better than expected. Nothing spills around and nothing geta thrown out through the upper side. I say this because i lived this expeience with a similar product.
Also, this is super solid, the previpus one bent after a few uses.
Works great. Makes everything from fine potato puree to Käsespätzle. Easy enough to clean, and seems reasonably sturdy, so I'm not afraid it will fall apart anytime soon.
